Skull Trap is one of my favorite spells in BG1. I take great pleasure casting one or two skull traps and than luring enemies to them, watching them explode like fireworks.

However, I noticed that this tactic does not work on IWD. I cast ST but enemies literally walk over them without triggering. It works normal if I directly cast it on or near enemies but the triggering does not work.

Sometimes (and only sometimes) the skull trap actually explodes when enemies walk over it but does not inflict any damage. The screen does not show any sign of damage or saving throws from enemies.

My mage is level 11 and my mage/cleric is level 10. Same thing happens to both of them.

It is not a big deal since the game is very easy and my archer alone (5 stars aka Grandmaster in Archery) can clean an entire floor but I would like to know if I am doing something wrong or if something has changed in IWD skull trap.

Muchos Gracias :)

The enhanced edition Skull Trap is bugged. It's supposed to trigger on proximity, but seems to be very insensitive, meaning anything not loitering in the immediate vicinity throws a 'get out of jail free' card; walk quickly or run past it and it doesn't trigger.
