I have tried a few party types, and recently restarted. Problem is when I get them to sleep, they are sleeping for days. They are only level 2, I have never used cheats and they are sleeping 16 days and 10 hours. I am still in the first town and 33 day have gone by.

Also my Glyph of warding crashes my game everytime in my other games. Anyone seen this?

The resting thing is the option "rest until healed" in the gameplay options. If you don't have any healing spells memorized, it will often take an extremely long time if your characters are badly wounded.

Not sure about the Glyph of Warding bug, though.
If you have "rest until healed" enabled you rest until the whole party is healed. Your healers cast their memorized healing spells, if there are injured party members they memorize healing spells, rest for 8 hours, cast healing spells and repeat this until the whole party is healed, then memorize the spells they're supposed to and rest for the last 8 hours.

If you don't have a healer to heal them (not recommended) they only regenerate 1 HP every 8 hours, but 16 days and 10 hours seem too much, 16 days and 8 hours should heal 16*3+1=49 HP.
But don't worry, unless you leave loot on the ground which may disappear you can rest for centuries. Just don't rest after entering the second big cave in Dorn's Deep (where you meet drow) before you've found and picked up the pile of loot lying on the ground.

Glyph of warding crashing the game is a problem others had too, so I recommend doing an internet search to see if or how it can be fixed.
I never had a problem with this spell since I never used it, not even when playing HoF mode, not my playing style.
