IWD I seems to install and start up as it should, then problems begin. I can crate a new character just fine. When I start the game with this character, the uhm, action bar on bottom of the screen randomly refuses to respond to my mouseclicks. Ie, when I try to click on "cast spell" sometimes game just decides to refuse opening the spell menu. This can be fixed by opening the spellbook via sidebar. Annoying enough.

Also, game consistently crashes if I try using "import character"

So yas, I haven't even left the starting tavern yet and already keep running to borderline game breaking walls here. Clearly something is a miss. Any suggestions?

* Using W7 64 bit
* Running as admin, didn't install in /programfiles
* Initially tried to play with various G3 fixes,uninstalled and sadly noticed bugs are there
with fresh installation as well.
* Tried running in XP compatibility mode

...and now I am out of ideas. Help!

Does it not respond if you click on something other than cast spell?

I think so. At least I didn't manage to reproduce the bug with my fighter at all. Tried starting brand new game a number of times, rolling several mages, problem remains.

Also, I have spend more time playing Infinity games than I'll ever admit, I'm pretty sure this isn't question of some failure to understand mechanics, or whatnot:p

Hum, it looks like opening any game menu at all is enough to unstuck the " cast spell" Overall thiis bug happens often enough to make the game unplayable. Some 10 secs of clicking around with mage is quaranteed to cause it, always.
Bah, finding more and more game crashing stuff as I click around. Opening " biography" when creating character means another quaranteed CTD.
