Hey guys, I'm actually posting for a friend (GM in our Hackmaster PnP game) who I introduced to IWD. He's having a problem where the executable crashes immediately after launching with 3D acceleration enabled on Win XP 32.

He's using an ATI X800XT PE with the most up to date legacy drivers (10.2) on WinXP 32 pro, and crashing immediately after launching IWDmain.exe. The only thing that fixes it is 3D accel disabled. Any idea how to get this to work? I've tried changing OpenGL triple buffering to off/on in the CCC, and ALL other driver settings are application specified / default (i.e. catalyst AI is on/standard, mipmaps set to quality, AA/AF to app specific). He's using the most up to date DX9, and the game plays fine with 3D disabled (audio is OK, game launches and runs correctly).

Anyone get 3D acceleration working on an older setup like this? I wouldn't care, except the awesome new alpha blended spell effects in the 1pp v4 package require it.
