Hey, I'm running Icewind Dale 2 under wine-1.3.36 and the latest version of Arch linux.

The game runs flawlessly, unfortunately keyboard input does not work. Unlike similar keyboard problems the keyboard does not work at all, rather than being unresponsive. I cannot create new characters because I can't name them, nor can I pause the game with spacebar, open my inventory with 'I' etc.

I'm using a HP Compaq 6710b laptop and have tried using an external keyboard and mouse to no avail. Does anyone have a solution to this problem?

Does it work on a different computer?
Yes, as far as I can tell IWD2 works under a windows computer. I can't find any similar issues among other Arch Linux users.

By the way, use of an external keyboard and/or mouse doesn't solve the problem and I can run Baldur's Gate 1, Baldur's Gate 2 and BGTutu perfectly fine. I've run IWD2 with and without the widescreen mod and the keyboard doesnt work in either case.

Keyboard input isn't redirected to terminal either.

If uninstalling/reinstalling doesn't work, then I'm sort of at a loss. It could be a driver issue related to Linux, but that would be equally strange since keyboard drivers are extremely simple and standardized, as drivers go.
Mmm, i'm at a loss too. Uninstalling and reinstalling doesn't work either.
