I'm having a harder time than necessary with IWD2, due to a specific happening. Some mobs outright jump over the tanks and start chewing on a caster, which consequentially makes the tanks fall back so a giant clusterf**** ensues.

IWD1 got me spoiled with the comfort of placing tanks, protecting them with a web + ring of free action, then have the ranged waste everybody. It looks like more melee friendly now. BTW my party is:

- ½ Rogue ½ Warrior diplomat trapper
- Paladin 1 Fighter X
- Fighter X
- Monk 1 Cleric X melee healer
- Sorcerer
- Wizard

Give a ranged weapon and ranged attack script to everyone so you don't have to run after the monsters. Take the rapid shot feat for everyone who doesn't use a crossbow so you can kill the monsters faster.
Have your mages cast mirror image and other defensive spells for survival.
