Hey everyone,
So I tried installing Icewind Dale 2 a couple of times now, and it won't even launch. This third time, I noticed the following error come up just as it was finishing installation:
[setup-ddrawfix.exe] WeiDU version 23100
[setup-ddrawfix.exe] Using scripting style "IWD2"
Installing [Use WineD3D's DDraw Library] [v1.0]
Copying and patching 1 file ...
Copying and patching 1 file ...
ERROR: COPY ~iwd2.exe~ ~iwd2.exe~ FAILED: cannot open target
Stopping installation because of error.
ERROR Installing [Use WineD3D's DDraw Library], rolling back to previous state
Will uninstall 1 files for [DDRAWFIX/DDRAWFIX.TP2] component 2.
Uninstalled 1 files for [DDRAWFIX/DDRAWFIX.TP2] component 2.
ERROR: Sys_error("iwd2.exe: Permission denied")
PLEASE email the file SETUP-DDRAWFIX.DEBUG to aqrit
Automatically Skipping [Use WineD3D's DDraw Library] because of error.
NOT INSTALLED DUE TO ERRORS Use WineD3D's DDraw Library
Press ENTER to exit.
I'm guessing this is why it doesn't launch properly...could someone help explain the cause and solution to this? I'm on Windows 10.
Thanks!
