I know there are lots of topics covering the flickering graphics but none of them help.

i am using windows 7 64bit, GTX 970. (drivers are up to date)
The flickering goes away in windowed mode, but starts again when fullscreeen is on.
nothing in the game config seems to help either.

Try toggling VSync and/or triple buffering in your graphics card control panel.

thank you for the reply but it didn't work.

EDIT: I opened the games Config settings and switched the resolution to "Unsupported" 1024x768. The flickering is gone but the UI is a little smaller.
