i have windows xp service pack 3 and i have all the other system req to play the game. after i downloaded from gog and ran the setup file fine the exe file to start the game fails. i get an error message that IWD2 has encountered a problem and needs to close. i installed the latest video drivers and even system restored to an earlier time. didnt work. i even downloaded the file more than once and removed and reinstalled the game. didn't work. can someone please advise what could be the solution to this problem? because IWD1 worked fine and i had a great time playing it.
Similar problem here. Mine won't even launch and get an error. It just does nothing.

Really great deal. Pay $9.99 and get nothing at all for it.
same problem. does nothing at all. I am trying to run this on a netbook, but still...any help would be greatly appreciated
i should have tried harder before posting...like a bunch of games for the netbook it seems to be a resolution issue. If you go to the config for IWD you can change the resolution to 640x480 and that fixed it for me although it runs in a tiny little window, so it's more like playing on a DS or something but at least it works...

Strange thing is some games don't have a problem with scaling (stone keep, diablo, and others). It'd be nice if somebody could get to the bottom of this.

You can use widescreen mod to get custom resolution, like 1024x600 for netbooks.
yeah, but widescreen mod doesn't support less than 600 on the height, and my netbook is 578 which will cause the game to fail to launch...bummer. I can make it 640x480 in the config but like i said it's not quite as nice...

There are tools to force resolution on netbooks, but they may vary depending on chipsets and you'd have to google one for your own.
