Am I being unreasonable to think that this might be one of the most annoying sections of a game I've ever had to slog through? I've kind of enjoyed this game up to this point for being what it is, a hack and slash fest with a fairly thin story line. This part of it has just been a frustrating mess of hoops to jump through involving numerous trips up and down levels. I'm finally at the point where I can get the door open to get to level 4. I guess I didn't do something or another with the wyvern stingers now. Is there a cheat where I can just open this door and finally get on with my life?

Eh, that part is so heavily scripted that I fear tempering with variables in memory might break something. I'm afraid you'll have to power through this one. Just to be sure, the things that need to be done are:

1; on level 2, you have to brew 4 wywern poison potions from 4 wywern stingers.
2; you also have to brew a modified histachi brew, then use it on level 3 to get behind the Unseeying eye or whatever it's called. There you have to press a lever there to lower the bridge in south
3. get pass the bridge and kill Thorasskus, use wywern potions to poison the 4 vats

It's definitely overengineered, I think the guy that designed it also designed the Ice Temple. That said, MAYBE you could just cheat in the wywern poison - have cheat console enabled in the iwd2 config, then ingame open console with CTRL+TAB and enter ctrlaltdelete:createitem("61GENWP"). Do it 4 times. Also, you could MAYBE forego the whole histachi thing and just teleport past the bridge with ctrlaltdelete:enablecheatkeys() and then CTRL+J for teleport. Or you can cheat in the modified histachi brew - ctrlaltdelete:createitem("61POTNSB")

Yup. I ended up cheating the wyvern poison to get to Level 4 which was complicated in a better, interesting way. I'm finally out of the Dragon's Eye totally and on to bigger, better things.

Well, Severed Hand is the best part of the game. Somehow even though the designers fumbled wherever they could they did get Chapter 6 right.
