The game crashes on the load screen between party selection/creation and the intro of the game. I've spent today and yesterday trying to figure out how to fix the bug, including all of the solutions on the support site, nothing has worked, and could use some help.
How about furnishing some information? Like operating system; installation directory; video card/drivers; mods installed? The more information you can provide, the more chance you have that somebody will spot a potential problem area. With no information, you will get only guesses.
OS- Windows 7 Home Premium
Model- Gateway DX4300
Processor- AMD Phenom II X4 810 Processor 2.60 GHz
RAM- 8GB
64bit

No mods
Installation Directory, C:Drive, but I didn't put it in x86

Thank you again for helping, and if more info is needed, let me know.

Come on... I'm not going to guess what that means. "C:Drive" is not an installation directory, it's a drive letter.
I'm not the most tech savvy, so I had to look up what an installation directory was, and that's what it gave me. I guess I'm not understanding something, and need my hand held.

Ok, fair enough. A directory is a folder, or folder structure. For example, I have my game installed to:

C:\Games\GOG.com\Icewind Dale II\

What I am trying to establish is if you have installed the game to a protected folder structure, or not.
"C:\Games\Icewind Dale 2\IWD2.exe"

The Black Isle screen sound is messed up too, and I can't hear any of the voices in the voice tester, don't know if that'll help explain the problem.

I have the CCCP codec, which it said to use if the sound was faulty, and it's still happening.

Icewind Dale requires no codec packs. Codec packs are very often the actual cause of audio/visual issues. Uninstall it, and any other codec pack you have. Then uninstall the game and re-install from fresh. In Windows 7 that is all that you should need.
