Alright,
So I have tried a few things that I will list out to hopefully save some time:
Run as Admin. Changed ini. file to Cheats=1 under [Game Options]. Managed to save file no problem. Started game, put in the command prompts (GETYOURCHEATON, CHEATERSDOPROSPER, EnableCheatKeys(), and so forth) but nothing is working. It just keeps say, Nice try cheater.
Anyone know what it is I'm doing wrong here and how I can get it right? Thanks so much!

For IWD2 you need to use the console

Ctrlaltdelete:<cheat code>(<param>)

For example:
Ctrlaltdelete:setcurrentxp(1000)
avatar
Hickory: For IWD2 you need to use the console

Ctrlaltdelete:<cheat code>(<param>)

For example:
Ctrlaltdelete:setcurrentxp(1000)
It isn't letting me input anything. Don't you have to start the cheats with the GETYOUCHEATON or the like first? Or are you saying I need to put that inside of (<GETYOURCHEATON>)? Or Ctrlaltdelete:<GETYOURCHEATON>?

It might be worth mentioning that this is my first time playing IWD2 so I've never used cheats for this game.

If IWD2, it's just as Hickory said:

use ctrlaltdelete as your command with the parameters behind it. So when you open the console and want to (for example) set your characters at 50000 experience, then hit CTRL+TAB and when the window pops up at the bottom of the screen, enter:

ctrlaltdelete:setcurrentxp(50000)

If it's IWD1, then the command is:

GETYOURCHEATON:SetCurrentXP(50000)

Syntax and spacing is important.
