Hi.

I just started HOW and I found the halfling man in the INN. I followed him to the trials of the luremaster. However the eastern stairway remains broken and I can't get up the stairs no matter how much I tried.

I ve read couple of walkthroughs but they don't mention anything about it.

Have I done something wrong?

Try climbing up the stairs step by step. They should get fixed as you get close to the top and allow you to climb up.

If you absolutely can't get up the stairs you can use the cheat console to teleport to the other location.

Thank you very much. I know it should be done something like this, but it is doesn't. Stairs do not patch up. No matter what I do, the hole remains and I can't get up.

Maybe it is a bug. I will try to start the Trials again.

I finished HOW and Ι tried to play the trials once more, but still the stairs do not patch up, the hole remains and I can't go upstairs.

I am sure it is some kind of bug. How do I "cheat" the game and transfer myself on the other side?

Keep in mind that I tried teleport spell with my mage but I still can't get to the other side. The spell is never cast. Any ideas?

Start the Icewind Dale Configuration program, enter the game section and turn on "Enable Cheat Console" there. ( You can also open up the "icewind.ini" file in the game directory with an editor and add the line Cheats=1 under the "[Game Options]" section instead.)


During the game press [Ctrl] + [Tab] to display the console window.
Enter

GETYOURCHEATON:MoveToArea("AR9710")

there to get to the area above the eastern stairs.
