I would like to replace a character that I have been playing with another from a saved from character a previous game. Can I import a saved character into an ongoing game after I remove an old character from the game? when I try to "reform the party" all I do is lose a character in the group., without being able to import the other.I have tried to do this replacement thing without success. obviously , I am missing something.

Also, is there a limit to the number of characters one can create and save to import? The list seems to lock out any new creations after about ten. Do I have to delete some? I read in an answer to another post that I might have to delete save characters "from the Store." Where is that. As you can tell, I am very new to this type of game. Complicated but bun.
I am running Windows 7.
Thanks,
Muzzien

To replace your character, do it at the load game point. When you load a game it goes to a character arbitration screen before the game loads. Press the name of the character you wish to replace and delete. Create a replacement and import the character you wish.

There is no limit, or if there is it is a very high limit. I currently have 36 characters saved. The only limit is to your party size, which is six total.

Of note, this does not work in the Enhanced Edition, as Character Arbitration is not loaded in single-player. Here, you need to copy the save file to the multiplayer folder, load the save in multiplayer, use character arbitration *there* (the screen will pop up this time), and then copy the save back.

(Apparently, Beamdog was unable to figure out how to implement this feature into the EE engine (which is based of Baldur's Gate 2's engine). It would be nice if that feature could be re-added in an update.)
