Hi Everyone,

I wanted to post my issue to see if there is a fix for this mysterious slowdown issue I keep having. Also, I want to note that I have the IWD and IWD 2 Complete series and they work flawlessly. I just finished a game with both of them, and I decided to try the Enhanced Edition for IWD. I recall having BG1 EE, and I had to get credit because I could not resolve the same issue. I have random slow downs about every few seconds where my party appears to be afflicted with a slow spell. I changed the frame rate in the baldur.ini found in documents under the Icewind Dale game to 50 then 75 fps, but the slow downs still happen. I love the interface and the changes, but the game has no config like IWD and IWD2 Complete Editions to make graphic changes. I also tried changing my desktop to 800x600, but I can't use my mouse to scroll to the right. I would really like to play the Enhanced Editions, but I cannot resolve this lag issue. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

First of all a test: hide the GUI by pressing 'H' to see if the slowdowns disappear. I seem to remember the GUI being at fault on certain systems.

i read that somewhere earlier, and when I hide the GUI, it seems to work fine. When I press pause, the GUI reappears and the lag starts again.

Yep, you need to file an official bug report at Beamdog, but don't get your hopes up since they already know that this is an issue.

Thanks, I have already had this issue with BG1 EE, and I am just going to get credit for the game. I cannot run the EE games because of the ridiculously slow walk speeds and random slowdowns. Thanks for your help though.
