Maybe somebody here can help me out with this one. One of the bonuses for having Icewind Dale 2 through GOG.com is being able to download the soundtrack, which I am, of course, very pleased. But none of the sound files are given a title, and I can't for the life of me figure out when number 28 plays during the game. I've tried to figure it out by looking at official soundtrack song listings, but it doesn't seem to be on there. Can anyone tell me when track 28 of the GOG.com ID2 soundtrack plays? It's the one that starts sounding like Kuldahar, but then becomes a righteous battle theme. I'd be very grateful for the assist.
I've got some problems with the OST too. I am a bit of pedantic music-file tager. Everything has to be "right" or I go nuts. Some people say I suffer from taging-OCD... :D

So the problems are the two additional tracks (whichever they actually are). The official IWD2 OST which was delivered on a CD with the collectors edition back in 2002 had 40 tracks.

http://www.game-ost.com/albums/706/icewind_dale_ii/ got the covers and a tracklist. Notice the difference in the tracklist and the cover (40 <-> 41).

Now, the back cover starts with "Choose your hero" and ends with the "Heart of Winter Theme". Which would fit, because as we can see here, the IWD2 OST included 24 tracks from IWD2 and 16 tracks from IWD1: Heart of Winter.

It would be rather easy to at least identify the two additional tracks as 25 and 26 or 41 and 42 if one would cross reference the HoW-part of the OST with the actual HoW-OST GoG provides with Icewind Dale I. Problem is, the tracks don't match. Take "Icasaracht's Lair" from the IWD: HoW OST and listen to it. If you played the game you recognize it as indeed the track from the lair. Then listen to the "Icasaracht's Lair" from the IWD2 OST. whatever that track is, it is not the same.

But furthermore, and this is where it gets kinda frustrating even for people who are not like me, the "Icasaracht's Lair" from the game and the HoW-Ost is not there AT ALL. Neither in the IWD2-part nor in the HoW-part of the IWD2-OST. If you go through all the HoW tracks in the HoW-Ost and the IWD2-OST you'll see that not a single one of them matches. Furthermore most are also not found on the other one and vice versa.

Which could mean a couple of things.
1. I've gone mad and am talking to myself.
2. The IWD2-OST is not the original IWD2-OST. Maybe something they ripped from the game? Which would explain the missing tags as all the other OSTs I downloaded from GoG did have tags.
3. They simply made a mistake and put something on the servers that is not the OST.
4. I've really gone mad and am currently lying on the floor imaging I write something in the forums... :D

And you know what the worst thing is? The NWN Diamont Edition-OST has got 81 tracks which seem to be some mixup of all three NWN+AddOn-OSTs. And if I compare the tracklist from the official NWN-OST with the tracks I downloaded only a couple of them seem to be there... :(

But first things first; I gotta sort this thing here out because I cannot feed my foobar something that is not perfectly taged.
