Game installed and ran fine for several days. Then I noticed an intermittent problem where the game would sometimes launch and there would be no sound at all. When this happened, the game would inevitably crash within a few minutes of play. The intermittent problem now happens every time I launch the game: there is no sound and it eventually crashes completely, usually within a few minutes.

I find it odd that the game would work fine out of the box and later "develop" a problem despite no changes taking place of which I am aware.

System is Windows 10 (10.0 Build 19042).
