Some time ago, I have completed an Icewind Dale 2 ironman run. I have created a party of four character, which ended up pretty strong: deep gnome figher/rogue/illusionist, half-orc ranger, human lorekeeper of oghma, elf sorcerer.
Some tough battles caught me quite unprepared because I haven't completed the game in a long time so I did not remember the moment they triggered (like the lost followers or the final battle) but the toughest battle was against that lich in the fields of slaughter which almost ended my ironman run. Also the game crashed two times immediately after the battle and I had to redo it two times (and once ended up with one remaining character standing with 1 HP).
I'm currently working on a similar Baldur's Gate 1 ironman LP.
