Hello

Just bought Icewind Dale on sale for $5 and playing through it again.

This time I decided to install and play with the MODS (even though I barely remember the game as its been 5+ years since I last played)

I've noticed a few issues with my game though that I never noticed in BG or Icewind Dale 2

Whenever I click 'Hide in Shadows' for my Thief about 50% of the time, nothing happens and then eventually about 30 seconds later it will say "Hide in Shadows Failed/Succeeded" - it is actually getting quite frustrating having to wait all the time and I can't remember it happening before so I wonder if it is an issue with MODS?

Also the AI is terrible! It is turned on but my fighters kill one enemy and then just stand there until I tell them to kill the enemy right next to them. Again, I've never had this problem in Baldurs Gate or Icewind Dale 2 so I'm not sure if this is just an ID1 issue or a MOD issue again...

Anybody else with these issues?

Thanks!

- Dekree :)

You could try if using other AI scripts works.
I doubt if it's a MODs issue; I don't have them installed. I don't even think it's a GOG issue (I could dig out my original game disks, but...)

I'm currently playing IWD2, and 'hide' and 'idle characters' function the same as yours in the original. I suspect it is either a 'feature' or a problem running on 64-bit machines.

The do-nothing occasionally occurs after selecting and ordering the entire party to attack a given enemy and then changing that order for a specific character, who then sits around once his target is dead.

Neither is a game breaker, but does mean additional micro-management.
