Hello everybody, I have a few questions.

- Which level should I reach before I am allowed to visit Lonelywood? Is it an experience cap o a level cap (i.e. if I have a Cleric I can leave earlier)?

- May I come back from Lonelywood to Kuldahar at will or do I have to complete the whole quest?

- What is the overall experience cap in the game?

- Do I have to take both side quests in the expansion packs before I go back to Easthaven, right?

Thanks and happy new year!

1 - Level 15

2 - You need to finish the expansion before returning. If you want to do TotLM, do that before you finsh HoW. Once you finish HoW you won't be able to return (at least until you start a new playthrough).

3 - The level cap is 30. There is a mod to increase it to 40, but at level 30 your party is strong enough that the mod is essentially pointless.

4 - No. You can do HoW without TotLM

5 - I wish you a very happy new year.
You can start HoW at 250,000 xp or after Chapter 3. Since it's generally harder than the main campaign, most people leave it until late-game (before returning to Easthaven), or they finish the main game first, then import into a new HoW game.

If you want to do everything in one playthrough, than you need to start HoW before returning to Easthaven, then start the Trials stuff before going to Sea of Moving Ice. You can't move back and forth between HoW and main game areas.

1- For being allowed to visit Lonelywood all your characters must have at least 9 levels (multiclass levels are added together for this so a fighter4/cleric5 is allowed).
There are difficult battles early in HoW (and the XP you get there can unbalance the base game) so I recommend waiting until chapter 6 before entering. You can even finish the base game first and import your party into a HoW afterwards.

2-There`s no XP Cap, only a level cap which is 30 (multiclasses can be 30/30/30) but if you're playing normally at normal difficulty your characters shouldn't have more than 2,500,000 XP at the end (including expansions) each.

3-You can do the expansions any time you wish, even with an imported party who has finished the rest. I would start TotL as late as possible however.
