Games seems to run fine but will freeze when I try and save game. Is there a fix or workaround for this. I installed via PlayOnLinux

I have a guess but which game are you talking about? IWD1, IWD:EE or IWD2?

I had the same problem with WINE on macOS. If I remember correctly, disabling 3D acceleration in the Icewind Dale settings made it work.
