Currently doing Heart of Winter.
Has anyone else noticed that the fire flail +3, seems to have a hidden stat ?
On my fighter/thief it increases his strength to 19 (18/51 before).
As soon as he equips any other weapon, his strength goes back to 18/51.
That doesn't seem much, but he can then carry 500 rather than 250 weight.
It makes an already excellent weapon, even better !

Flails add a strength bonus to attacks but they shouldn't raise your strength stat -- the item has no such, nor should it have any such added ability.

I got my Paladin using this flail, found in the main game. I also just found another one in the TotLM expansion.

I stripped my Paladin of everything, as he is wearing some girdle that gives Strength 19. (Normally he has a Strength 18/00.) Then I equipped the flail found in the main game, and then also tried the (I presume) identical flail found in the expansion.

Neither yielded a Strength of 19.

Are you sure you ain't wearing a girdle or anything else that is conferring a Strength 19? Did you quaff a Hill Giant Strength potion recently?

My shield had a strength bonus of +1
When i unequip the bow, the shield is used, giving +1 strength
My mistake...done on pupose of course (cough), well spotted CFM lol
