When running through the first part of Dorn's Deep, I noticed that when battling the Ettins they get a +3 to all attack rolls against my party members. Does anyone know what accounts for this? I looked at the Monstrous Manual stats for a 2nd Edition Ettin and nothing is mentioned about attack bonus.
I was always under the impression that the IE games used the enemy stats lifted right from the PNP version. Did the enemies get a boost? By the way I am playing using AD&D core ruleset, not Easy difficulty. Even still, I don't think Ettins should get +3 to attack.
I've already been through the area (multiple times!) but their attack bonus just bothered me!
