In Neverwinter Nights (1 and 2) a monk with Dex higher than Str can use Weapon Finesse to improve their AB. Does this also apply in IWD2?

Also there is an Improved Unarmed Strike feat in NWN. Is there a corresponding feat in IWD 2? I've checked all the Simple Weapon feats and the handbook and can't find it.
Having searched around this question has been discussed on sorcerors.net and the conclusion seems to be that IWD2 did not implement Weapon Finesse for Unarmed Strikes, although this is in the Player's Handbook for 3rd Edition rules.
You've already discovered the answer by yourself, but I'd like to add that the missing implentation of the "weapon finesse" feat for fists has been corrected by mods.

The "Improved Monk Fists" mod allows fists to be counted as "small blades" and thus work with the finesse feat as intended.
The mod/fix is part of the "Ease of Use Mod Pack" for IWD2, which you can download here.
Thanks, Gule. Can I install it as part of Weidu under Linux? Still struggling to get the install process working.

I have no experience running the game under Linux and at a quick glance, I couldn't find any info about the topic - sorry!

Yes.
Quick summary of how I fixed things:

1. Getting Weidu working under linux: (tested)
o Unpacked the linux archive under /usr/bin into their own directory (as root)
o Needed to make links to the weidu executables and put them in /usr/bin (my problem before - duh!)
o Followed instructions given here by The Bigg: http://www.shsforums.net/topic/29361-linux-and-weidu-mods/

2. Installing mods (tested)
o Download .rar versions of IWD2 mods from http://weidu.org/iwd2.html (linked to a directory called "old", but check version numbers against latest exe's)
o Unpack to main game directory and install using weidu as answered here on another forum: http://gibberlings3.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=26988

EDITED 2 ABOVE AFTER TESTING
