i downloaded Dale Keeper the other day hoping i could add some gold to my IWD party and i can open and edit games using the program but when i go to load an edited game nothing appears other than my previously saved game without added items and gold. is there something i'm missing or is the GOG version different than the disc version? also how do you use custom portraits instead of those provided? i see no uploader in either IWD 1 or 2

Not sure about custom portraits, but Dalekeeper worked for me without issue (Win7 Pro 64 bit). What OS are you using and where have you got the game installed?

my OS is Vista 64 bit and it's installed to my desktop. i'm not very tech savy so it may be the simplest thing that i'm unaware of. basically computer illiterate.

I have Dalekeeper on my desktop as well, but the game itself is installed outside the Programsx86 folder. (It's installed in the Programs folder, but I have my 'Games' sub-folder on a different drive and simlinked to my Programs folder).

Did you install the game as admin? And are you running Dalekeeper as admin as well?

oh, sorry for the miscommunication. it is installed in the Programsx86 folder under my GOG.com folder and yes i installed the game as an admin but not dale keeper perhaps that is my problem eh?

Worth a shot. Run it as admin as well. I actually went into the compatibility tab adjusted it to run in compatibility mode for Win XP SP3. But definitely try installing and running as admin.

Open your folder....click compatibility files at the top. Copy the files you want. Switch back and paste them in the correct folders.
