At first the cursor only flickered in IWD2 but now it's "spread" to IWD1. Fo a good long time I've had no trouble with IWD1, the cursor never flickered, everything ran smoothly and then suddenly it starts doing it. Although in IWD1 it only does it when I move the cursor, in IWD2 it's doing it constantly. Can anyone tell me if there's a solution that works for both games? The games aren't unplayable (yet) but it's very annoying and it makes my eyes hurt.

edit: By the way, I've tried the Microsoft Application Compatibility Toolkit (at least with IWD2) but nothing changes. The cursor still flickers.

I managed to fix the issue in IWD1 by turning off the Catalyst A.I. in CCC. This did nothing to help with IWD2's flickering, however.

edit: Reactivated Catalyst A.I. then ran IWD2 in administrator mode. The flickering stopped.
edit2: Okay, this is pretty strange. IWD1 started doing it with Catalyst AI turned off, then I turned it on and it stopped again. I've also noticed that I've been running IWD1 in administrator mode all this time, I don't remember ever enabling it, though.

abandon the hope to fix that broken game. No solution exists. Gog sells broken games and refuses to refund nor to fix anything. They're scammers.
