I have an elven fighter whom I use as an archer, she has 19 DEX. The thing is, although she shoots well (at least better than my thief who is the other archer in the group) I noticed that her default armor class is 6 just like my 18 DEX human characters. Then I noticed that my human cleric with 18 DEX has a default AC of 5. So the question is: is this a bug? Again, my elven fighter seems like a pretty good archer, so I think when attacking the game still takes it as she has 19 DEX, but her AC seems to inidcate that she actually has 18. Can this prove to be a problem later on?

There's no base AC difference between 18 and 19 DEX, though 19 DEX gives you another +1 AC bonus vs. missile.

Not sure what's going on with your cleric. Does he have a ring/amulet/cloak of protection on?

Good to know. As for my cleric, I checked her when I saw the AC, I even reloaded a a save during the prologue but I don't see anything that should cause her to have better AC than the rest of my party. I'll check again soon though.

edit: Nope, she doesn't wear any enchanted stuff that should increase it like that.
edit2: Oh, wait, I get it now, I feel like such an idiot. I realized she is the only one who actually has a shield while having 18 DEX. I don't know how I could have missed something so obvious.
