Hi everyone

I am mostly dnd2 guy, so I don't have much knowledge about iwd2/nvn game systems. I decided to go using "Jukka power gaming party walkthrough" on top level difficulty. But he is a bit vague on technical details. Right now I have trouble going through the start of palisade battle with Melee party from this walkthrough
1. Deep gnome - Dreadmaster of Bane(1)
2. Deep gnome - Rogue(1)
3. Drow - Barbarian(1) + Stormlord of Talos(1)
4. Drow - Sorcerer(2)

Jukka strongly suggested party of four because of XP and I generally prefer smaller groups.
But I can't withstand damage at the palisade at these levels and don't have enough power yet to destroy goblins in big numbers.
Am I missing some possibilities? Not using the team to full potential? Maybe overlooking some items? I usually don't have similar problems in IWD1 with a team of three even on Insane difficulty with XP bonus disabled.

It looks like Jukka doesn't know about the XP penalty. You don't get as much XP as you would in a full team of six.

There's a wood building in the center of the map that is clearly unfinished. Stay there with your melee up front and squishy characters at the back. You should re-load an older save and grab a grease, sleep, or some other crowd control scroll.
