Game gets blurry in few seconds ,starts as normal with readable text and suddenly within seconds all text gets blurry and unreadable, like out-of-focus camera image.
Happens both in menus and the game, making the game unplayable.

PC i got is i5 2500k , 8gb ram, radeon hd 6800 series. drivers up to date.

Blurry and out of focus; isn't that a good things nowadays? ;-)

Try turning on or off hardware acceleration.
Run DXDialog and see if DirectX and Direct Draw works properly.
Im too much of an old timer dino to find out of focus a good think.

dxdiag gives no problem with any of mentioned above.

Cant find an option to turn the HW acceleration on / off.
Maybe try to write to support, including detailed description what happens, dxdiag file and, possibly, some screenshot? It shouldn't be unfixable :)
Sent requested data, hope they sort it out. unfortunatelly android bugged and didnt insert the email i typed..

Sounds like Catalyst might be overriding the direct x output with antialiasing effects to me.

See if you can open catalyst and turn off its control (should be a setting like "use software settings" or something like that -- I'm an nVidia man and don't use Catalyst so I couldn't tell you for sure).

My BG2 is blurry on my widescreen just because the pixels don't all line up well. So it's possible it's an issue with your monitor, but since it's good for a sec and then gets blurry, I think it's more likely to be an issue with Catalyst.
I had the same problem with a radeon hd6870. Disabling morphological filtering in control centre fixed it for me.
