Been searching every item code listing I can find, but can't seem to come across the item code for a bag of holding. If I understand correctly, it was added with the Trials of the Luremsater adventure, but there seem to be a dearth of item code listings for anything added by TotL.

It's not "HOLDING", as that's the code for the Jester's Bag of Holding.

If anyone knows what the code is for the actual Bag of Holding, I'd appreciate if you could post it here.

Does BAGH01 work?
I'll give it a shot, thanks.

*edit* That's it, thanks! Don't know why I couldn't track that down anywhere.

**second edit** Just a heads up for anyone that may try this code:

it appears that if you spawn more than one bag, the contents you put into them are melded into every bag. So if you spawn 5 bags, and have, say 5 quarterstaves and put one in each bag, when you open any of the bags, you will see not one, but 5 quarterstaves. Removing one from any of the bags will reduce the amount in all bags to 4.

I'm not sure if this will have a detrimental effect on the game or not, so decided not to use the spawned bags of holding, just in case.

I believe that is due to the way that the item is coded. The item works differently than it does in BG2. I believe the way it works is that the Bag of Holding when you open goes to a shop file, but every bag links to the same shop file so that is why when you put items in different bags they consolidate into one bag(store).
Perhaps, but in my first run through my characters had 2 bags of holding. The contents of each one were completely separate. They didn't combine.

Strange.. wonder why 3+ bags have the problem but not two.
Maybe the BoH you can buy in TotL is different from the one you can loot there.
It might be that Bags of Holding point to a "store" as already stated, but that different bags from different places point at different "stores". Because in this case your bags are all spawned, they don't have any locational details, so all point at the same "store".

If I remember rightly, I also had this kind of issue with all kinds of containers.

So, what to do? Only use ONE of each spawned container. Those you get from shops thereafter are a bonus.
maybe there's also a BAGH02, etc? Each pointing to a different store file?

I see this is an older post but for the latest version of BGEE these codes work:
Bags
Gem Pouch (BAG02). Scroll Case (Bag03). Ammo Belt (Bag05). Potion Case (Bag06) Bag of Holding (Bag20) (Bag21) (Bag22) (Bag23) (Bag24)
Note that a couple of these seem to have overlapping spaces!

There is one other thing you *can* do.

1. Create two bags of holding using the same item code.

2. Give the two bags to different characters.

3. Use the bags to trade items between characters. This avoids the annoying rule that doesn't let you trade between characters who are too far apart, and it also makes it unnecessary to clear inventory space before trading.

In other words, there is actually a use for it.
