I got these from ebay and the seller was unsure where they came from originally also.

I know IWD 2 had a special release called Adventurer's Pack which contained similar cards, but I'm not aware of any special edition of IWD 1 that would feature these.

I'd love to hear from anyone who might know about their origin, were they given away in some stores as a bonus? Something else?

I have all the box sets for all the Infinity games:

- IWD
- IWD: HoW

- IWD2
- IWD2 Collector's Edition

All my box sets are glorious and in mint condition. Ah, the good ol' days.

I'll check my IWD boxes tonight. Those cards do look familiar. I'm guessing they're in my IWD2 Collector's Edition box. I'll check tonight.

I'm guessing they weren't there, as of right now I haven't found a definitive answer. The Dragon magazine once featured some IWD 1 cards that are almost the same as mine except they were showing characters rather than monsters and places. Those were bundled with the magazine for advertising purposes.

There's also the possibility that the cards were simply bundled with the UK release of the game, I can still find some ebay listings with the boxed game and cards, but at the same time there's plenty of them without the cards, so...

I won't buy a sealed one just to confirm whether it has the cards or not, obviously... the search continues :P
