Alright, here's my issue...
When I go through the character creation process, everything runs fine until I get to the character's biography. When I click done (or press enter, as the case may be) IWD terminates with an "abnormal termination" error. I've skipped the bio and the game runs fine, no graphical issues or anything. And I'm not so in love with character building that I need to type their histories into the computer, so this isn't a game-breaking glitch, but I'd still like to know...why? And how do I stop this from happening?
Graphics card is NVIDIA gt335m, driver version 8.17.12.7533.
The comp is an Alienware M11xR2 with Intel core i7 u640.
Honestly it seems like a runtime exception error, as opposed to the "typical" graphics errors I've usually had to deal with in the Infinity Engine series, so I figure this is a lost cause.
I've installed to an other-than-program files directory, used adminstrator settings to do so, run the game with administrator settings and compatibility for XP. Config set to 3D OpenGL, resolution at 800x600.
