I have IGI2 installed and working on my XP machine perfectly fine.
I think this problem is mostly to do with Vista, but after a certain amount of time playing IGI2 the game crashes and Vista (Home Premium 64bit) says "the display driver [ATI] has stop responding and has recovered" or something like that. I can't play IGI2 for more than 2 mins.
This has been happening with other movies and games on my PC and only since I've been using Vista. This probably isn't even the right forum to post this in, since it's probably not entirely IGI2's fault, I'm just trying to find some answers.
My specs are:
Intel C2D E8400
4GB RAM
512mb 4870, latest display drivers installed
Vista Home Premium 64bit SP1
Works on XP Pro SP3 perfectly fine though.
Thanks for any help.

Have you tryed running under compatibility modes while in vista?
Also when you ran it on XP was it on this same machine or a different one and what specs did it have if it was different?
Always a very good idea to check whether you are running the latest driver for your graphics adapter as well.. The error clearly states that it's the graphics card that craps out when playing, so it might be an idea to visit ATI and see if there is a newer version available.
Isn't that a VPU Recover message? If so, wouldn't that mean your graphics card is overheating?

Try updating your motherboard chipset drivers. I was getting the same type of message when I played Crysis (nvidia graphics card) that stopped after I updated my Mobo chipset drivers.
I am now having another problem with this game. I have updated everything and have the latest drivers. Now, every now and then, the game will crash and the screen will go all funny. Then my PC will restart and when I load Vista, it says Windows has recovered from a serious error or something.
It's as if the graphics cards overheated, but I know that can't be possible, since this game doesn't use that much power, and there isn't any problems with my card. No other game does this.
