Hi.

I have Rebirth 1 from Steam and it works perfectly with my xbox 360 controller.

But now I bought Rebirth 2 from GOG and there are problems:

- RIght stick acts like a mouse (moves mouse cursor)
- LT / RT act like mouse buttons
- ABXY buttons worked initially though unreliably. Now I can't get them to work at all
- Left stick sometimes works sometimes doesn't

Is there a fix for this?

Are GOG and Steam versions of these games different?

Thanks

I have successfully used both a wired and wireless Xbox 360 controller to play the GOG versions of Re;Birth 1 through 3. My only suggestions so far would be to:

- Go into the game config from the main menu screen and make sure the Xbox360 is set up as the input device
- If that fails, try and refresh the controller. Unplug and replug the controller and recalibrate it from the control panel. Then launch the game and set the controller from the game config menu.

It is a basic solution. However this was what worked for me when I had the same problem with Re;Birth 1, so it's worth a try.

I can't make a direct comparison, but as far as I can tell the Steam and GOG versions are mostly identical with the exception that the Steam versions interact with the Steam app while the GOG versions have minor alterations to work as standalone games.
Ok, I managed to find a solution.

Looks like the problem was caused by the Steam client. In the contoller settings there is the option "Xbox configuration support". This is was also causing the mouse-like behaviour.

I disabled it and now everything works fine.
