I am using Linux Mint 19.3 game wont run, this is what I did to fix it,

I run the start.sh from terminal and this is what I get:

karuros@karuros-desktop:~/GOG Games/Hyper Light Drifter$ ./start.sh
Running Hyper Light Drifter
./HyperLightDrifter.x86: error while loading shared libraries: libopenal.so.1: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

So I open the Synaptic package manager searched for libopenal and installed libopenal1:i386
see attached image.

now when I run the start.sh I get:

karuros@karuros-desktop:~/GOG Games/Hyper Light Drifter$ ./start.sh
Running Hyper Light Drifter
./HyperLightDrifter.x86: error while loading shared libraries: libGLU.so.1: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

so i search in the Synaptic package manager for libGLU and installed the libGLU1-mesa:i386

Now I run the start.sh again from the terminal and the game now works.
