Playing HP1, every time that I complete the bedroom puzzle the game just stops responding to clicks. Mouse movement pans the background image. So it's not exactly unresponsive but it doesn't work either. The game just stops with the success text and all I can do is close it.

Figured it out. My audio drivers are garbage. Disabling and re-enabling my sound device before launching the game worked.
