• Fixed an issue that was preventing the Player from having the Enabled state when starting a game
• Asexual Characters will no longer assume or stay in explicit sexual poses

• The player will now automatically attempt to drop out of combat mode if a two-Character POV sex act is started
• Fixed an issue that could cause NPCs swapped into various VickieFinale CutScenes to have their underwear incorrectly applied based upon Vickie’s current clothing. This should take effect/benefit Custom Stories
• The Popcorn will now auto-highlight when dropped in the grass, making it easier to see if dropped in dark areas of the yard

Small Update to 1.0.3 for Load Game Issues

• Fixed an issue that was preventing save games from being loaded or deleted within the Load Game UI if using a non-English language
• When saves are deleted, ToolTipData will be updated to reflect the removal of the corresponding save data to prevent bloating of the ToolTipData over time

Sorry for any inconvenience, and we'll be on the lookout for more feedback. Cheers!

Small Localization Update
Italian and Russian Translations Updated

Hey everyone! Fresh on the heels of the French translation that came out with 1.0.3, we are pleased to announce that the Italian and Russian translations are now fully updated. We are also getting close to finishing the Chinese translation; it should be done within roughly one week.

We will continue making improvements and additions to the translations over time. For best viewing of the Russian and Chinese translations, we suggest using the "Montserrat" font in the Gameplay Settings.

As for the other languages, we know that the delay, and seeing other languages completed first, can be frustrating. Everyone associated with our localization efforts is working very hard, and we hope to have more languages completed in the coming weeks.

Unfortunately, the Turkish translation has hit a snag. It was a community-translated project, and recently very little progress has been made. We do not currently have an ETA on its completion. If you are fluent in Turkish and would like to contribute, please come on over to our Discord and let us know!

Happy Halloween Partiers!

Warning: There are spooky elements and creepy critters in this limited-time mini-update.

The house looks a little different this Halloween, and so do some of your fellow partygoers!

Madison's decked the place out with a few chilling decorations, and some of the more Halloween-minded guests have put on a sinister special accessory to celebrate. Be sure to fully explore the party, as you’ll encounter spine-chilling seasonal decor and a petrifying new limited-time cosmetic item!

The eerie visuals will revert back to normal after the holiday, so enjoy them while you can!

Note: At this time, the seasonal accessory and household decorations are not available for use in custom stories.

House Party Stable Release 1.0.6 - POV Intimacy & UI Improvements

House Party Stable Release 1.0.6 is ready to play - and it's packed with smoking hot new POV intimacy updates!

We’ve wanted to deliver an update focused on expanding the Explicit Add-On for a while now, so we’re hyped to share this with everyone and hope you’re stoked to explore the sweet stuff we added in this update!

So, what did we add? Check it out, doods:
• Spicier Female Player Intimacy: The POV intimacy system will better correspond with the female player story. You can now access POV intimacy for the female content!
• POV Intimacy Will Be More Gender-Accurate: Now female-female intimacy will prefer to use more gender-accurate pairing acts - like scissoring (yeah, that’s new!) rather than male-female or male-male acts.
• New Female-Centric POV Intimacy Poses: Scissoring, fingering, and female-centric sixty-nine
• A Newly-Implemented Frank Cutscene: We added a cutscene that was only available through console commands to the gameplay. Enjoy a blowjob featuring the male protagonist and your favorite booze-hating bald dude!
• Top & Bottom M/M Position Swapping: During POV sex between the male player and male NPCs, you can now also swap between the top and bottom positions!
• A New Main User Interface Sound Scheme: As you move and click around the menus in House Party, there are satisfying new sound effects that show when you’re hovering over and clicking on things.
• Extra Polish For Custom Story Cosmetic Issues: Certain stories that made use of held drinks, or custom Character names, should see fewer immersion breaks. Additional small emotive, sound and cosmetic issues for POV intimacy have also been remedied, too (check our patch notes)!

Bug Fixes: Vickie's "Training Day", Compubrah-VR bugs, and several UI issues have now been fixed!

Enjoy the steamy new explicit update, brahs. Have fun playing it again. And again. And again. Please have mercy on your keyboards, though, and be sure to clean your hands after checking out the new content.

Want to see more of the changes? Check out our patch notes here:
• In the Original Story: Fixed a bug where Patrick would leave when the female player was already in the master bedroom with him to hookup
• In the Original Story: Fixed a bug where the player could start Lety’s Easter Egg CutScene when she was already at a high orgasm value, which could lead to the CutScene terminating unexpectedly
• Fixed an issue that could cause StrapOns to fail to mimic penis positional and rotational behavior(s) in CutScenes. Note that for the most part this will only affect Custom Stories, and that the majority of CutScenes were not designed to support StrapOns. Custom Story Creators will need to be mindful of this
• InteractiveStates.UnableToOpenLabiaOrAsshole is no longer entirely ignored if a CutScene Actor’s partner is Female. If the Actor has a Female partner in a CutScene that is wearing a StrapOn, this State will behave as expected. Note that for the most part this will only affect Custom Stories, and that the majority of CutScenes were not designed to support StrapOns. Custom Story Creators will need to be mindful of this
• Implemented sound effects for UI elements in GameMenu and settings menus
• Fixed an issue that could affect CutScene-specific object/transform positions when various items were mounted to specific spots on a Character. Note that at this time this fix applies exclusively to Custom Story content
• The Mug item will now use the correct Inventory icon. It will no longer share the same Inventory icon as the Coffee Cup item
• Adjusted collider sizes for all Bracing Spots so they do not as easily overlap with other Interactive Items that may have been dropped onto/near them. This fixes an issue where the Dildo could not be interacted with sometimes after having been freed from the chandelier
• Doors will no longer attempt to force a child collider to be a Trigger if said collider is both a MeshCollider and Concave. This will eliminate certain (generally nuisance) errors that could occur any time certain Doors were opened, either during play or when loading a save file
• Cleaned up a number of Derek’s voice lines that had artifacts or other minor issues

Thank you to the incredible number of players who took the time to fill out our Holiday Feedback Form! We've gotten amazing responses, and it's great to learn what you want most from our game.

We'll leave the form open for another two weeks so everyone has the chance to leave feedback. We'd also love to do more of these forms in the future. They really help us keep House Party on track so we're always taking the game in the best direction for our community!

If you missed it, come share your thoughts, dood! Here’s the link.

You might even see a couple of the things you vote strongly for in the upcoming Winter Event…
Standalone installer updated: [Windows] 1.0.6 ⇒ 1.0.7 Xmas.

The Winter Update is Live!

This winter, there are plenty of exciting new decorations around the house! You'll find pine garlands, hanging lights, glowing candy canes, star-shaped lights, ornaments, a snowman, and snowflake window decals all around Madison's house.

The partygoers are dressed with holiday spirit, too; several of House Party's characters are wearing Santa hats, elf hats, and even a festive sweater!

In this cheery update, it will be snowing lightly outside, you'll be able to throw snowballs at other party guests, and Frank will be getting into the spirit of the holidays in a short new themed side-quest! It's a little bigger than our Halloween update was, so we hope you enjoy it!

Will the winter holiday update be a limited-time update like Halloween? Yes and no.

For now, the winter event will be a temporary base game patch. However, because we received such a positive response to our Halloween update, a permanent DLC version of both events will drop sometime early next year - and will be completely free to play! Halloween will be ready first and Winter will follow sometime after that.

Even better, they will also include a much-requested toggle on/off feature, so you will be able to activate or deactivate the seasonal content without uninstalling and reinstalling it!
Keep an eye out, because we'll be making them wishlistable fairly soon!

Just so everyone is aware, we are going to hold off on doing more holiday events in the short term after these ones (but more are still coming). So, while you probably won't see new events for the first half of next year, we are planning new content for Halloween and Winter in late 2023 and will introduce more exciting new holidays beyond that point!

The reason for this is we do need to take some time in early 2023 to work on finalizing the toggle on/off feature, packaging these events into permanent playable DLCs for you, and not get too distracted from focusing on other development that we need to do for the game (like our next mystery guest, VR, and planning Office Party). The holidays are amazing, but they have taken a bit more time than we expected from overall game development, so we do need to slow that timeline a bit!

Also, in the sake of transparency, we wanted to be up-front that things were going really well with PlayStation, but they drastically changed their stance and flipped to to a more Twitch-like position recently…but we’re used to this by now, and we are still discussing content guidelines with them and comparing those guidelines to what’s already on their store with what’s in our game. We have hope they'll come around and work with us on bringing House Party to console. We'll continue to keep you updated on this as time goes on!

Anyway, we have had so much fun doing these seasonal events so far, and we can't wait to expand on them more for you (and add new holidays to the mix)! You've given us amazing feedback to use for our 2023 Halloween and Winter Holiday updates, and now we're going to sit down as a team and plan the best way for us to incorporate this feedback alongside the rest of our development pipeline moving forward!

The winter update is live now...so what are you waiting for? Go play it, partiers! The event will be available to play until January 9th! Deck the balls, doods!

P.S. If you complete the new holiday achievement during the update, you will not have to redo it again when the winter content is a permanent DLC to get 100% completion. However, if you are not around to play during the winter update and you miss the achievement, the achievement will be on the Steam list but unable to complete until the House Party - Winter Holiday Pack is released permanently in Q1 2023.

P.P.S. If you're not feeling the holiday spirit and don't want to play the winter content, don't forget that you can swap back to the regular base game version of the game at any time! To do this, just go to the Steam beta branch and select the previous game version!

1.0.7 Winter Update Hotfix

Hi all,

A hotfix for the 1.0.7 Winter Update just went out. This updates the French translation of the game, and addresses the following two bugs:
• Fixed an issue that could cause objects to be un-interactable in certain areas of the game world
• Fixed an issue that would cause the Clothing ConsoleCommand to execute redundant Clothing GameEvents

Those of you that ran into issues with interacting with Derek on the roof, or the SprayPaintCan during Leah's content should no longer experience those problems.

Cheers!
Standalone installer updated: [Windows] 1.0.7 Xmas Redeploy ⇒ 1.0.9.
1.0.9
(Stable Release 02/09/2023)

• For all non-DLC content: updated Spanish (MX) translations
• GameObject name for Key2 is now “key2” instead of “key4”. Should only matter for those cheaty cheats that use a lot of console commands
• Implemented a system to prevent item repositioning based on load game data. This should help prevent the vast majority of issues that could be caused should we decide to…redecorate
• Cleaned up some unused InteractiveItem code and members
• Updated Spanish (MX) translations for the UI
• A new Key item has made its way into the house
• Fixed an issue that could cause the Player to be unable to Interact with their POV/Legacy IntimacyPartner in the rare event that a physical obstruction created a line of sight block between them
• Enabled ItemFunctions on a number of items that previously were unable to make use of them (pretty much every item that starts out in the Fridge, such as the Mayonnaise, Chicken Nuggets, etc.)

1.0.8
(Beta Release 02/03/2023)

• CSC: major CPU and garbage allocation optimizations made that will notably reduce the UI “lag” experienced when manipulating many CSC elements, dropdowns, text fields, etc. Note that these optimizations required minor changes to the UI. Some functionalities like sorting/arranging elements are now controlled strictly through user-interactable elements like arrows, the copy/paste functions, and insert/remove
• CSC: added “CharacterGroup” behaviors. This allows for the creation of targeted groups of Characters that can then have GameEvent, Criteria, Event Trigger, and/or CriteriaGroup behaviors executed upon them selectively or en masse. Note that not all GameEvents and Criteria are available for use with this system
• In the Original Story: Updated Brittney’s behavior towards the player after they hook up
• In the Original Story: Fixed an issue with Amala not being disabled properly after leaving the party
• In the Original Story: Fixed an issue with Amala kicking the fence not firing correctly when loading a saved game
• In the Original Story: Overhauled the intimacy mechanics in the CSC to utilize character groups
• Increased size of LoadingDock slightly and adjusted LoadingDockZone accordingly
• Fixed an issue that could cause Player motion to stutter excessively if no NPCs (or only DialogueCharacters like PhoneCall) were enabled
• InteractiveItems can now internally (on our end) be flagged for automatic disabling upon start of a Custom Story game session, as can their ScriptObjects
• The following InteractiveItem(s) have been flagged to get disabled entirely whenever a New Game of a Custom Story starts: Drone, FilmCamera, HotTubCoverUnfolded, PizzaBoxFortification, PlanksFortification, PlanksFortificationExtraNails, DeadSnake (in front yard), Firetrail, and GlassCover (for the hot tub). Note that the save/load system will be relied upon to maintain InteractiveItem state between sessions, so this will only ensure that these items are disabled upon the start of a new Custom Story session. This automatic behavior can be disabled by toggling on the new UseEekDefaultItemEnableBehavior property in the Story Collection object in the CSC
• The following InteractiveItem(s) have been flagged to disable their ScriptObjects upon start of ANY Custom Story game (loaded games included): HotTubBase. Note that the save/load system does NOT maintain state of ScriptObjects. CSC scripting will be needed to address this. This automatic behavior can be disabled by toggling on the new UseEekDefaultItemEnableBehavior property in the Story Collection object in the CSC
• The Front Yard Crowd will automatically be disabled upon start of ANY Custom Story game (loaded games included)
• Minor redundancy and CPU/Memory optimization-related cleanup across a number of engine, data, Criteria evaluation, and UI-related scripts
• Fixed an issue that could cause unintended and sporadic camera “bouncing” when simply running around the game world over flat surfaces
• The Debug Log will begin logging slightly earlier than before, allowing it to catch more pre-session diagnostic info
• Minor optimizations to Debug Log to reduce garbage allocation
• Fixed an issue that was disabling the downstairs Window Blinds (against the front yard) on every game start. These have been the ScriptObject1 of the PlanksFortification for some time, and can be controlled via the CSC as needed
• The Window_Broken object will no longer be enabled by default on every game session. This has been the ScriptObject2 of the PlanksFortification for some time, and can be controlled via the CSC as needed
• Optimization pass on CharacterManagerTick loop CPU usage performance as well as performance for related methods
• Slightly optimized GPU draw calls by removing several obscured/unused environmental objects within the house and disabling Cast Shadows on a number of indoor objects that were not creating noticeable shadows
• Fixed an issue with Character/ItemGroup behavior that could allow a “shared” action to populate on the radial when a criteria check should have prevented it from doing so
• Updated Volumetric Lighting plugin, which should confer minor performance benefits for some users
• Minor optimization to FixedUpdate code that handles door rotation or position change
• Improved in-house supplemental occlusion culling support to ensure that doors specific to certain zones are taken into account when deciding to render Characters
• Rebaked lighting with slightly tweaked Ambient Occlusion settings
• Rebaked and slightly reduced footprint of occlusion culling data
• Wired up EnableScriptObject/DisableScriptObject and other ItemFunction behavior(s) for newly added assets/items
• Very minor adjustments to the Fridge door’s hard-coded auto-close behavior. Should not be discernible in normal gameplay
• Minor tweaks to VFXManager that handles certain character effects and some newer…ambiance stuff. Adjusted certain Phone-light-related behaviors to auto-adjust based on this totally spoiler-free ambiance-related tomfoolery
• Added a blackout effect
• Added a breaker box model in the garage
• Added a knife model
• Added a new fridge + alternative material option
• CSC: updated core Unity .dlls
• CSC: fixed an issue that could cause a NullReferenceException and the inability to use certain StoryCollection-related functions when initially creating a brand new StoryCollection via new GameObject
• CSC: added the Gender Criteria, which for now should be reserved for use in conjunction with CharacterGroup-derived behaviors
• CSC: cleaned up some inconsistent alphabetization behaviors
• CSC: miscellaneous internal cleanup of large swaths of the CSC/Editor codebase
• CSC: minor expansion of auto-data cleanup and error message handling in some additional situations

The Free House Party - Halloween Holiday Pack Is Out Now!

Halloween is back, partiers!

Add the free House Party - Halloween Holiday Pack to your library and enjoy the terror-filled season all year long, whenever you want, with the new toggle on/off feature!

Enjoy chilling at a decked-out house party filled with spine-chilling ambience, sinister costumes, and much more in this petrifying autumn party pack!

House Party - Halloween Holiday Pack "Out Now!" (SFW 2022 Item Showcase Expansion Pack Trailer)

Here by popular demand, the House Party - Halloween Holiday Pack is a permanent version of the limited-time 2022 seasonal Halloween update.

This DLC brings pumpkins, spooky ghosts, a skeleton, tons of spider webs, and one giant furry spider back to decorate Madison's house in creepy fall vibes!

It also dresses all of the NPCs at the party in a chilling succubus costume - including startling horns, creepy bat wings, and a sexy, spiky tail!

Thanks for your patience as we worked to get this ready, doods!

We know it’s taken a while, but we hadn’t originally planned for the 2022 limited-time event to become permanent. It was a spur-of-the-moment idea fueled by season-induced passion, and it really wasn’t built to be in the game year-round.

However, after seeing so many of you ask for it to stay around, our team worked alongside our already-planned development schedule to completely rebuild the Halloween and Winter events so they’d be suitable to be in House Party permanently.

This full restructuring includes:
• Making it so the DLCs are optional and won’t bloat the base game if you never plan to play or install them
• Allowing you to toggle the DLC on and off if you don’t feel like enjoying the Halloween aesthetic during a specific play session
• Ensuring merging the content with House Party wouldn’t cause any major bugs or issues with the short or long-term health of the base game
• And, best of all, future-proofing the DLC so we can add more exciting content in additional updates!

While the Halloween Holiday Pack will visually look the same as the event did in 2022 (so, no, don’t expect to see any “new” playable content or cosmetics yet), it’s undergone complete restructuring and there are major framework changes under the surface. And these changes will allow us to properly add extra content (cosmetics, decorations, side-quests, achievements, etc.) to the Halloween Holiday Pack in the future as time permits!

Also implemented into this framework beneath the holiday pack are the roots of a very exciting new feature that we plan to bring for free to all players in the future. We won’t spoil exactly what this is yet, but we’ll just say it’s something MANY of you requested in the latest survey we released!

So, get excited, doods and lady-doods, because what’s coming is gonna be amazing - and we can’t wait to share more details as we get further along in development.

And, if you’re still waiting for the snowy season to return, don’t worry! The House Party - Winter Holiday Pack will be ready to play very soon, too!

But, in the meantime, what are you waiting for? Come enjoy the haunted house party!

House Party Character Customization, HDRP Upgrade Out Now!

We know you've all been waiting for it and it's finally here! You can get the HDRP graphics engine upgrade and customization update now!

The longest ongoing house party in the history of the world just got better!

This new upgrade adds a TON of customizable options to your game and the game now looks better than ever before, rendered with High Definition Render Pipeline!

We made a new trailer featuring the new graphics and we've uploaded some new screenshots to our House Party store page as well!
https://youtu.be/C4JU2UEht6I

① We've Switched to Unity's High Definition Render Pipeline (HDRP)
We're upgrading our engine to take advantage of HDRP's capabilities in Office Party, but we were also able to bring some HDRP enhancements to House Party too! In House Party, you'll notice amazing new lighting and shadows as well as upgraded models and enhanced textures that can be seen in an overall visual upgrade to the house and all of the characters!

② Character Customization
Take House Party to the next level and customize all of the characters in the game including the male and female player characters. If you haven't seen it, also check out our character customization video: https://youtu.be/6_nJXCrNhmg

The video shows off the ability to change clothing colors, patterns, decals, and even add effects like emboss and metallic to some clothing pieces. It also shows off the character options that include changing character skin tone, makeup, hair root and tip color, and inner and outer eye color. Since we released the video, we've also added the option to customize nail color and other.. uh.. fun stuff. There's also some clothing options that will be unlocked with achievements. Speaking of which, for the achievement hunters, we've added 1 new achievement to the Liz Katz DLC and 1 new achievement to the original story! Check out some example outfits:

③ Engine and game upgrades
On top of all of that, we've added a bunch of cool new features, including:
• WAY faster saving and loading times
• A spiffy new loading screen
• All characters can now have sweat/wet effects and clothing can have blood effects
• A new cutscene for a Liz Katz DLC freezer event, and a cutscene when the player reaches over a railing in the Original Story

This update has taken us a bit to pull together, possibly longer than any other update in the past, but the result is a refreshing new House Party feel that makes the game feel like a whole new game!

And last but not least, we finally changed the song that plays over and over again on loop! Just kidding. We would never do that. Enjoy the game!

Happy Holidays!

We can't wait to see what kinds of customizations you all come up with!

We'd love to see your designs in our discord!

NOTE: Because of the new super fast save/load system, old save files will not be compatible with the new version, but you will be able to play old saves by rolling back to the 0.2.2.1 version of the game.

P.S. We will have official sharing support coming for the customization presets soon. In the meantime, if you really want to share a creation with a friend, you can by copying the files in your Documents\Eek\House Party\Customization\ folder and having your friend drop the files in their respective folders.
