The helmed guy that you play later on in the game, does he only get to wield his knive(s)? I can't seem to pick up any other weapons (by default right-clicking) the baddies leave behind.

Is this correct? If not, what do I do?

Nope, you're just a bad-ass biker butcher ninja with a few throwing knives and a cleaver. Get to it.
