Chapter 6 crashes as soon as all the waiters unload with their Uzis. The typical "Hotline has stopped responding" message comes up.

I installed Windows 8 last night, so that might have something to do with it. Has anyone else had this issue?

I've a similar issue, but on Chapter 10.
Whenever I walk into the square room made up of more smaller square rooms the game crashes and I get the error message. I'm also on Windows 8, but I've still experienced random crashes when I was on 7. This is the first time it's being persistent in one part of the game though.
I've beaten the game already and am now trying to get all the secrets.

i've found a solution in the Steam Forum for the Win 8 Crash when a lot of sounds played.

Short thing:

1. Copy hotlinemiami.exe to hotlinemiamip.exe
2. Open with a Hex Edito hotlinemiamip.exe and search for 7420B8F898
3. Replace 7420B8F898 with 9090B8F898
4. Start hotlinemiamip.exe

An error will occur that Direct Audio can't be initialized and instead of the crash there will be a slowdown in the game.
