after watching the intro movies i found myself in the warroom of the antaeus. the controls worked fine and i moved on to the tutorial-mission ( get scrap-metal) and everything starts spinning..... the heli is completly uncontrollable. after changing setup from "using joystick to look" to "using mouse to look" the heli started to fly backwards and nothing could make him move in another direction. :(
i have a win7-system ( other gog-games run fine) with a USB-joystick (analog) ..
any ideas? i really want to play this game....

This problem is related to compatibility mode. Change compatibility to Win98/ME and the joystick will work.
I do not have a joystick and the helicopter was spinning on itself without control from the very start. I tried changing controls but I have to choose joystick either Look or Move, no pure mouse control. But... insisting with the keyboard control the small window with the hanging tank **seemed** to actually move sensibly! I dropped the tank, lost, and moved to another game. Do you really have to have a joystick?
No, you don't have to use a joystick. Try using windows compatibility options to improve the controls, the game is definitely worth the hassle.

I also found this in another thread, might be worth a try:

Might want to check if your CPU's affinity for the game's process is set to only one core (CPU 0, for instance). You can do this in the Task Manager, through he Set Affinity option. Old games can sometimes go all wacko on multi-core systems.
