I was wondering if someone may be able to tell if the Mac version (which is already released on Steam) will also come to GoG? This would be great for Mac users, esp. since the Windows version won't run in a Parallels virtual machine since Parallels Desktop seems to only support OpenGL up to version 2.1.

The Mac version of Homeworld Remastered is not provided by Gearbox Software, but by Aspyr. Although GBX has partnered with Aspyr to provide the Mac version, the Mac version is wholly supported by Aspyr and only endorsed by Gearbox. Gearbox has no intention of maintaining anything other than a Windows release.

Same, I hope to see it come out, here, for the Mac.

Could always try wineskin. Wine supports a much newer version of opengl


For the record, the OSX version of 2.0 hasn't been released yet on steam either. So when aspyr gets around to it, we may see it on GoG.
