It was very enjoyable! My favourite area was probably the Abyss because of how atmospheric it was, and the Deepnest I liked for how tense it got when I got dropped into it relatively early and without knowing how to leave. The White Palace was definitely my least favourite, though, because of how sudden and out of place it felt. I probably would have liked it more if it had purely been an optional challenge like the Colosseum, which actually took me longer to beat, rather than being tied to story content. That, and the true final boss for being a boring multi-stage projectile spam type where the safest strategy is to slowly plink away at it. But other than that, all the bosses and areas always had something that made them interesting to do. I'm curious to see what the Hornet DLC will give us and what other content we can still expect, or maybe even a (spiritual?) sequel.

What are other peoples' thoughts on the their playthrough? Anything you disliked or loved?
This was a big surprise hit for me. I was drawn in by the art, but kept in by the story and gameplay. The sudden difficulty spike at about halfway through the game wasn't too appreciated though.

But it just does so much right - the visuals, the controls, the music... Excellent.

I had no idea what to expect from this game, other than I loved the art work in the trailers. It didn't take long before it became an instant Favorite of mine, surpassing Ori and the Blind Forest and others for the top spot.

My favorite element of the game, besides just the art, sound, and mechanics, is the fact there's no direct narrative. Almost the entire story is uncovered through exploring, looking for scraps of things, and generally just indulging in ever y "Ooo, what is *that*" moment that hits you. I still catch myself thinking about certain clues, wondering how they fit into the story, and what the events of the story that transpire over the course of the game mean. It's fantastic!

I'm *stoked* for more of this. Sequel, DLC, whatever - I want to know more about the world of Hollownest, of the history of the White King, of the great War that the game alludes to -- ALL THE STORY THINGS! :D

This is definitely a must-buy for anyone even remotely into Metroidvania action platformers. The OST alone is almost worth the purchase.

I didn´t wanted it to end ;_;
I ran 51 hours on my first playthrough and got 96% completion.
I tried so hard to save my singing bug but then I understood she was lost because of that dickhead of Radiance so that made me push forward and finish it.
Looking forward to Soul Steel Mode :) I already screwed one save because I died a stpid death but I´ll keep on trying.
Played through it two times, this is one of my absolute favorites. It's also a platform game that works very well on kb+m, which I appreciate a lot.
Second playthrough was easier thant the first, and this time I beat the White palace which felt awesome. Still haven't beaten Radiance, the third Colosseum fight or played the last expansion (gods...) yet. Difficulty seems pretty balanced, you get better all the time through practice.

If you get there, the expansion is where things get really tough, but that it is why it's optional. It's very much end-game content.
