I use a SNES-like gamepad with a program to convert the gamepad input to keyboard presses. This used to work in previous versions of the game.

In the new version 1.5 my gamepad is detected as a XBox controller but not all keys are rebindable. Inventory and pause are bound to the shoulder buttons and cannot be changed.

Is it possible to get the game to ignore the gamepad so I can continue to use it to emulate keyboard presses?
Maybe use this?

You can hide controller with this small software.
Thanks, but I'm using Linux so that won't work.

As the game doesn't support all controllers it should really be an ingame option to ignore the controller in case it is wrongly detected so you can work around it. It seems that every controller the game doesn't recognize is assumed to be a xbox controller which doesn't seem like the right solution.
How about this one for Linux to rebind gamepads to keyboard?

https://github.com/AntiMicroX/antimicroX

Unfortunately it's been a while since I've used Linux, so I can't provide much help.

I tried using antimicrox but the game still detects the controller input so you get both the input from antimicrox as well as the mapped action in the game. You can remove the mapping from some buttons in game but not all.

For now I downgraded back to version 1.4.3.2. In that version the game ignores a gamepad if it doesn't recognize it instead of assuming it is a xbox controller.
