Trial one and two only drops geo and no notch (trial one) or pale ore (trial two). Do you have any way to fix this bug?

I don't know if it's related but apparently on GOG we get the version 1.0.0.5 of the game while on Steam you get the v1.0.0.6

I have this bug too and I would like to know both when is it gonna get fixed and why the two versions are different.

I know, I'm the same guy who answered you on the steam forum and point out that there was no message in the GoG forum :)
Since I've also have the GoG version I'm trying to see if posting would help (also it might show that the bug is not related to some kind of steam version issue)

It seems they are working on an update by what they were writing in the sticky in the subreddit but just to be sure I tried contacting them directly on their site. I hope this is getting fixed soon because I want to try a steel soul run

If this really is specific to the GOG version like I've heard, then that's ridiculous. I hate when games here are outdated, especially since in this case it's been outdated since the release day. Hopefully a patch will make it so that players who have already finished one or more of the trials can still get the notch and ore respectively. I wish GOG would do something in situations like this.

I mailed team cherry asking about this exact issue and they said they've already sent the updated version to GOG. So we just need to wait

Thanks Savez, also apparently the bug is present for many also in the Steam version (hopefully the save will carry on in the new version, the last 3-4 creatures of the Journal and the notch and ore are the only two things I still miss)

Redid the first trial with the new update. Still no notch. I don't know if I would have gotten it on a new save file or not. Hopefully the developers will fix this soon.

I'm starting another savefile in preparation for when I'll try a SteelSoul run for the speedrun achievements. I'll tell you if I drop the notch or not.

Anyway I would think that you do need to play on a new savefile for the bug to not be there.

At this point, I feel like we're suffering more from a game design flaw than a bug. Without the bug, players who forget to pick up the notch or ore would never be able to get it, if I'm not mistaken. For a 20+ hour game to 100%, that's a pretty bad oversight. If they patch the game to check if you've gotten the item or not and then spawn it at the end of the trial if you haven't, a new save file shouldn't be necessary.

Same issue. I did the trial twice before the patch, and once after the patch. No notch. I will now try the second trial for the first time to see if I get the ore, will report later.

I can't imagine that fixing this would be too hard for the developers to do. Like I said before, they just need a check to see if the player has already obtained the notch and/or ore yet, and if not then have it drop at the end of the trial. In fact, they could probably make things even easier and have the bug you talk to give you any rewards you missed, since the game already knows if you've finished the first two trials or not.
