Whenever i start Hob through GOG i get an "Unable to start program" window

Have you tried starting the game directly through the game folder?

I have this issue as well when using Galaxy. Restarting Galaxy seems to fix this issue temporarily.
I hope an official fix will be coming since it is an annoyance.

Kendi, can you describe exactly how you're able to reproduce this issue? I've seen it in at least one other case and haven't been able to track down the cause yet. I'm not actually 100% sure if it's Hob that's generating that error message.

Tried it again and it's when i click play on the GOG page and the options for Hob come up but when i click start on the Hob launcher i get an unable to start program window, i have attached an image of the window i get.

That's very strange! It does look like the error is being generated by the launcher for some reason (this explains why running Hob.exe directly resolves the problem), but it's not clear why the game executable is failing to run when called by the launcher. For anyone who runs into this issue, please contact support@runicgames.com, mention this thread, and send us your msinfo32 file! If you could do this, it would be super helpful.

Don't want to play devil's advocate here but maybe it has to do something with Galaxy as well? Would be interesting to know if the launcher works when starting without Galaxy.

Possibly! Let me know if there's any difference between running the launcher via Galaxy and running the launcher executable directly from the install directory.
