Widescreen fix by nemesis2000.
The only drawback of this solution is the HUD isn't scaled to higher resolutions - but to me that is only a minor annoyance. Extract the archive to your main hitman folder.
Edit the h47.ini to get your desired resolution.

For some reason hitman doesn't like being run with compatibility mode and you'll only get a black screen - but it works just fine without it.
