Hi!

I recently downloaded this game on my Mac and I made it run perfectly with crossover and apparently worked just fine.
I started the first mission and when hitman came out from the jail room the sound just distorts and won't let me hear anything else, it's just pure annoying noise. I tried changing the graphics settings (that wont let me) and the sound settings. When I changed the sound settings to 3 worked for few seconds but again there was noise but not with the same frequency, still it continues to be annoying.

I uninstalled and re-installed the game 3 times and it keeps showing the same problem, ¿what can I do?

PS. I also noticed that the song of the main menu is not being played.

install dsound.dll and maybe dmusic too . . . make sure they are overridden in WINE config to use Native before built-in.

Had a similar problem today with Hitman 2 in Wineskin on OS X 10.7.5:
Sound worked but there was a very annoying and loud kind of static noise every few seconds.

Installing dsound fixed it! :)

Here's how to do it:
Wineskin -> Advanced -> Tools -> Winetricks
Open dlls
Select "dsound" and hit Run
The necessary stuff will be downloaded and extracted.
That's it!

Override was added automagically.
To check, open config utility (from Wineskin -> Advanced -> Tools) and select Libraries.
There should be an entry "dsound (native) in Existing overrides.
