After the game decided to delete my profiles (not an issue) when ever I complete the first introduction mission and escape, when I load past the newpaper segment the red loading line freezes about 2/10th of the way to the end and crashes the game.

Any fixes?
I have uninstalled and done various other things.

Me too (W7 Prof).
Just about to try and install on old XP machine.
Plus install gives 2 or 3 installation errors but then says it's completed successfully. Possibly related.

I haven´t tried the GOG version of BM yet, so I can´t speak from personal experience, but do you use Galaxy? If so, it is apparently recommended to disable the Galaxy in-game overlay, otherwise the game suffers from crashes. Give it a go if you haven´t yet.

Do you have any game logs from crash time?

Why not just use compatibility mode? (btw people generally say "Pro" when abbreviating full name)

I had the same error with Blood Money version 1.2 Hotfix. I reinstalled without the hotfix and I was able to progress past the first mission without crashing.

Same for me, NOT installing the so-called hotfix made my game actually playable.

Honestly wondering what it is actually "hotfixed" by it...

I had this problem too

What worked for me was to:
Open the game folder
Start configure.exe
Check "Override SLI"
Check "Enable SLI"
Then Save and Launch

Even though I don't have multiple graphics cards and don't use SLI

Same problem. Saves gone, game crashes after first mission. With path 1.2 HF... WIN10.

Same here. And i'm playing on retro pc with ati x1900 and xp. Will delete 1.2 hotfix then...

On a hybrid graphics laptop, the game will run like crap with one kidney disabled.
