Quick question: the original Hitman has speed issues that make it run too fast on modern hardware and there is no proper solution. The only thing I found working is to open the console and enter that command and re-enter is every single time I open a menu. That's not really a solution.

The question is: do Hitman 2 & 3 have the same problem? I really don't want to bother with them in such a case, so that's why I'm asking.

For the 1st Hitman you can use custom launcher from the sticky thread - http://www.gog.com/forum/hitman_series/basic_tweaks_and_widescreen_support/post1
Are you thinking about the games running so fast that one minute of gameplay passes in less than a second? I've had this issue with some IO games on some computers (both stationary and laptops). The problem has ALWAYS been Intel Speedstep, a motherboard function that changes the CPU clock dynamically to keep noise and heat down by clocking down when there is little workload and overclocking to deal with heavy loads. This can normally be disabled in the BIOS set up menu. AMD chipsets probably have similar functions.

If there is some other game speed issue with these games I have never heard of it before.

No, I don't think so. I haven't experienced it myself and afaik there are no such problems reported here in forum nor elsewhere. The speed problem seems to be specific to Hitman 1.
Thanks for the answers, that settles it then. And thanks for the tip with the launcher for the first game; I could have sworn that I had tried it out but I was wrong.

EDIT: I can now confirm that Hitman 2 does not have speed issues with going too fast. If it's going too fast for someone else then the reason must be different.
