I try to run the game with my HOTAS Warthog and my Saitek pedals. Cyclic control via the joystick is no problem, but the rudder seems somehow mapped to the toe brakes. Any ideas how to get the Saitek pedals to work with the rudder?

Same problem here...

I'm using a Speedlink Black Widow joystick with CH rudder pedals. A combination that works a treat with modern sims, but DOS box just can't recognise the pedals.

I've manually changed the DOSBox config file to "2axis" but the Key mapper (ctrl+F1) still fails to recognise any axis but the right toe brake on the pedals.

I can only get the mapper to properly recognise the pedals if I use "4axis_2", but then the main joystick is inactive.

It seems to me that DOS box simply doesn't support 2 joysticks with more than 2 axis each. Is that right? Any chance of an update in the future?

Thanks anyway to the GOG guys for bringing back such an awesome game! So many memories playing this one in the good old days! :)

I have a similiar problem - the Hind's DOSbox recognizes only Saitek X52 but it doesn't recognizes the Simped Rudder Vario Pro pedals. Both are on USB and I also can't figure out how to make it to recognize throttle on Saitek X52 and how to recognize Pedals on Simpeds. I'd be very grateful for any help.

In theory it does exactly what we need: It takes several USB or Parallel port joysticks and combines them into a single virtual joystick.

This should work a treat with DOS Box, but unfortunately PPJoy uses unsigned drivers and Windows 7 refuses to run it unless you are willing to mess with your security settings.

Could the GOG team get in touch with PPJoy's creator and release a Windows 7 friendly version? If you are thinking on releasing more old school flight sims you are going to need something like this. DOS Box alone is not enough, I'm afraid. Thanks!

I don't have the GOG version of this game so I can't be sure, but if this game uses DosBox you can change some joystick parameters by editing the dosbox-%version%.conf file with notepad.

Within the joystick section there are several settings, but the one important in this case is swap34=false, change it to swap34=true.
